The Story of a Rabbit

We had posted a small article on habit. A parent had enjoyed the post with his wife aloud. Their 5-year old son told his 3 year old brother about the article. He could not pronounce the letter ‘H’ properly. So, the younger boy heard it as ‘Abbit’, which he interpreted as ‘Rabbit’.

Their mother was a nursery teacher. She had a small rabbit doll, on which the name “Rabbit” was written. Each letter was written on one part of the doll.

The younger boy tore off the parts of the doll, each alphabet separately. His mother scolded him. He replied that his elder brother told him that rabbit, when cut into pieces will remain the same. But, this was what remained of it!

We were told about this incident over the phone and we enjoyed it. Mom said, “If too much is tried to be taught too soon at a very young age, this will be the result!”
