Programs: Their flagship program is the 2 year Post-Graduate Diploma Course in Communication + Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication (Optional).

They also have 3 month short term certificate courses as follows:

  • Advertising & Media.
  • Marketing & Sales.
  • Content & Creative Writing.
  • Public Relations & Event Management.
  • Digital Marketing.

International Collaborations: We have signed an MOU with South Ural State University, which is one of the biggest State Universities in Russia; for Faculty exchange and Webinars wherein our faculty is taking sessions on Advertising and Marketing in India for them and vice versa.

Recognition: They have had workshops with prestigious universities such as University of Burgundy, France.

Eligibility: Two year Program: A student needs to sit for an Admission Test or MAT/CAT and a Psychological Test (both are online). The admission test is for 1.5 hrs whereas the Psychological Test is for 30 minutes. Thereafter he/she is invited for a Personality Interview, which is also the mail criteria for selection.

Admission Months: 2 year courses: Feb to July, 3 month courses: Batches are rolled out every 4 months.

University Strength: The institute currently has around 95 – 100 students.

Student-Professor Ratio: The student to professor ratio is strongly is favour of student development at DSC, being 1:4.

Timings: Two year course: The program usually has a six day week with classes from 8:30 am – 1:30 afternoon and thereafter students are sent for half day industry training or Apprenticeships. The institute places each student in leading Advtg, PR and Media units for around 5-6 months in the 2 year course.

Facilities: The campus is equipped with LCD, Wi-fi, Cafeteria, Library among other facilities.

Specialties: Some of the highlights of DSC:

  • Up to 100 hours of intense counseling is provided to each student.
  • Up to 6 months internship provided to each student by the school.

History and Brief Introduction: The Delhi School of Communication was begun by a team of industry professionals and academicians who realized that there is a requirement to better support the skills provided by higher educational institutes with demands in the communication industry in the future. They thoroughly studied all the communication schools in the world. The information that was gathered was combined with the vision and foresight of late Prof. Surojit Lahiri and Prof. Ramola Kumar and DSC was born.
