A Journalist Reveals is celebrating Mother’s Week, the week post Mother’s Day. Today, we will talk about Mother Nature.
Mother Nature
Sometimes called the Mother Earth or the Earth-Mother, She is a common Greco-Roman concept. The Ancient Greeks and Romans personified nature, due to the life-giving and nurturing properties of nature by giving it the form of a Mother Goddess. The concept is too unique and there are no parallel terms or concepts in other languages or cultures.
However, Indian mythology has the concept of the Earth Goddess or Bhoomadevi, the Wife of the Varaha Avatar of Lord Vishnu. During that avatar of a boar, Lord Vishnu lifted the Devi from the deluge waters to above them for the preservation of land.
