“Keshav, do you have a girlfriend?” Nancy asked.
At first, he looked shocked and the next instant regaining his composure he said, “I do have one but not in your sense of the word.”
“Ok. Try to put yourself in my position.”
Keshav looked at Radha for a moment and turned to her friend. “I might have met your friend.”
“Where?” Radha excitedly caught the long sleeve of his jacket.
“Here.”
“Here? Would you mind taking me to him?” Nancy requested.
“I can’t. He’s not here any longer. I met him before he ran away.”
“Did he tell you where he was going and why?” Radha prodded further.
“He wouldn’t say anything. I think he has forgotten everything including who he is, where he is from, everything.”
“Amnesia?”
“Yes, Nancy, he has amnesia. And I think it is a severe case. Unless he is found and treated soon, he may not recover at all.”
“Oh my God!” Radha could only exclaim.
Nancy just looked at Keshav without blinking.
