Banana is a very good fruit for human health. It is filled with energy. 2 bananas can fill your belly and give the satisfaction of having a full meal. If the banana fruit is too ripe, people often give it to the cows. We worship cows. Why should we give something, which we cannot use ourselves? However, we can make a good dish out of ripe bananas.
Ripe bananas can be mashed and heated with one tablespoon ghee in a thick-bottomed vessel. As required, sugar or jaggery can be added to this mixture. It can be stirred to an even consistency until the contents separate from the sides of the vessel. Some cardamom powder and a pinch of nutmeg powder are mixed into it. This can be had like halwa or used like jam. Similarly, chikoo and jackfruit can also be used.
