As everybody knows, A Journalist Reveals has been on the lookout for Navaratri celebrations all over India, this year. A PR Agency Media Connect shared information about Bhowanipur Durga Pooja, some days back. We are sharing that information with our readers today.
Bhowanipur Durga Pooja:
The Durga Pooja at Bhowanipur 75 Palli, South Kolkata exhibits one of the eye-catching pandals every year for their innovative concepts and style of celebration. The committee is also famous for the social work that they carry out throughout the year.
This year their theme is Khuje Paoa Smritir Khata, Ulte Paata Sonai Katha, (Searching deep memory to depict some untold story). Everyone’s childhood inspired this year’s theme. A frequent question asked during childhood was, “What do you want to become?” Our answer used to be – Doctor, Engineer, etc. We would select some profession, which we liked.
However, if the grownups are asked the same question? Our answer would be to go back to childhood. Artist Biman Saha depicted these same nostalgic memories for the community’s 54th Durga Pooja celebrations with his installation. Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal inaugurated the exhibits this year. She gave the name of Shishuaalay to the exhibits.
