“Drug-peddling, dementia? Poor Ned! What has he got himself into?” Nancy looked sad.
“Do you have a picture of his?” Radha asked, trying to change the subject.
“Yes, here it is,” she replied, showing the picture of a handsome man on her iPhone.
“Do you know why he came here, in the first place?” Kartik asked.
“No. I don’t know. But lately, he had become a little secretive and was enjoying the fact that he was hiding something from me.”
“Which hospital were you talking about, Anna?” Radha asked.
Kartik told her and the girls left.
“This must be it,” Radha said as the cab stopped in front of a hospital. She paid the driver and got down with her friend.
As they entered the lobby, Radha saw a familiar figure in casual clothes come down the staircase.
“Keshav, what are you doing here?” Radha asked, sniffing a new coop for the newspaper she worked for – The True Story.
“Well, if it’s not Mischief personified. What are you doing here?”
“We are looking for Nancy’s boyfriend, Ned,” she replied after introductions. “Do you think you can help us?”
“Ha ha. Why should I? Didn’t you ask your brother? One police officer is enough to work on a missing person’s case…”
