“What do you mean?” Radha asked her brother Kartik.
“I mean that the entire Singh family died under mysterious circumstances. If the possibility of accidental death is eliminated and it must be eliminated because of too many co-incidences, the killer should be someone very close to them. There is only one person close to them, who is alive…”
“Anna! It couldn’t be Rita. She is such a sweet girl.”
“I don’t mean she killed them. It is only a supposition that she could have killed them.”
“It could have been somebody else,” Valli supposed.
“It could be. But, there is no evidence.”
“There have been cases where the circumstantial evidence can be planted, can’t they?” Radha reasoned. She believed in Rita’s innocence.
“Ours is a democracy. Everybody is innocent until proven guilty. But somehow, this case sounds too easy to me. There is more to it than meets the eye,” Kartik commented.
