I told them, “One of my students made a flowerpot out of a large 2-liter cool drink bottle. He cut the neck portion and made plastic strips out of some portion of the bottle. Then, he folded them over toward the outside, making beautiful flowerpots. Similarly, we can use these bottles as pots for plants. We can also make a hygienic water filter out of them. The neck is removed 2-3 inches below the cap. A wire is used to make 2 diagonally opposite holes near the top. The wire is fixed inside and a mesh is added over there, to form a good water filter. The wire is then used to hang the filter on the tap. We can use it daily after washing well. The neck portion can be used as a funnel for pouring oil, water or any other liquid. Small bottles can be used to make colorful pencil stands, pencil boxes, pin stands, etc. The bottles can be cleaned and sent to calamity-stricken areas. This requires a human heart. People, who think that these things are garbage, cannot do this.”
