Golu Idol Sequence Important:
This is what she had to say:
I am involved in this activity for the last 3 years, though I always visit my friends and relatives’ homes during Navaratri. Keeping golu has always been a wish for me. I was a working woman, who used to return home by 8 pm, every working day. Back home, during Navaratri, I used to go to play Garba. But some years back, I left my job and have some breathing time now. My daughter, who has much interest in this activity, is also growing. This motivated me to start keeping Golu. I feel so happy and very content when I do Navaratri pooja. The ambiance in the entire home becomes so divine during these days that there are no words to explain the joy and contentment I experience.
My daughter, Shreya is mainly involved in this activity along with me and my husband helps whenever time permits. Golu involves not just worshipping the Devi, but also helps ladies exhibit their creativity and talent. It is the best form of socializing and connecting with friends and relatives. This is the time when we have to fill our hearts with warmth and kindness. This festival is very special for ladies as it is completely organized by them. The number of steps should always be arranged in an odd number. The topmost step is for the kalasha or kumbha and various Gods worshipped by us. The order will be God at the top and then their avatars. The Gurus like Shankaracharya, Raghavendra Swamy, etc. come next, followed by normal human beings, animals and at last, plants.
