The specialty of Saphala Ekadashi is that the pooja brings back wayward children to the right path. Nowadays, teenagers have gone into crime. This is the right time to perform this pooja. People can perform this pooja to beget children. People with differently-abled children, some good changes can be seen in them. Even if our desires are hard to get, we can perform this pooja for 12 years to receive blessings. The lives of HIV-AIDS patients are prolonged, due to this pooja and they can experience all that they desire. People, who want moksha, die peacefully and attain moksha after death.

On this day, we can chant Vishnu Sahasranama, Vishnu Sahasranamavali, Sri Ranganatha Ashtaka Madhurashtaka, Achyutachtaka, Aapathudhara Shloka, Sudarshanashtaka, Sudarshana Kavacha, Sudarshana Sahasranama, Sudarshana Namavali and Vishnu Astra Shlokas. Gajendra Moksha is a very important treatise that needs to be read on this day. Wheat flour roasted in ghee and mixed with milk and sugar with bananas optional is offered as naivedyam. Blowing the conch, ringing the bell and playing the jangata are considered auspicious on this day.
