It’s not only your skin which needs protection from the sun. Your hair needs to stay protected as well. There are a lot of hair products in the form of spray, gel and even creams that contain UV filters and protect your hair from the sun damage. Use them.
If you have straight hair, they are most likely to be glossy and smooth and since the natural oils are in abundance and the hair is most likely to get oily and unmanageable. You must wash your hair daily and distribute the serum with a comb.
If your hair is exposed to the sun for long periods of time, it’s most likely to lose its natural oils. Applying a good Ayurvedic or herbal oil once a week becomes really important. You can also use hair packs on your hair to improve the quality and fight the sun. Hair packs are also very effective when it comes to improving the hair quality. Make a paste of milk and curd to cover your scalp with the paste and leave it on for 20-30 minutes. Wash it with a mild herbal shampoo to get the best results. You can also use Ayurvedic or handmade shampoos.
In case you have dry hair, using a conditioner after shampooing is a must, to keep them from getting frizzy. You must also apply a serum in order to make them shine and remain smooth.
You must keep in mind that summers lead to a lot of sweating at times, which might affect the hair quality as well. Having said that, you should make sure you are washing your hair daily, to get rid of the accumulated oil. Use products that have a natural cooling effect and are not chemical-based.
Even if you are using any hair styling products/tools, you must make sure you are using a serum or hair spray in order to ensure that your hair does not get dry.
