Full educational qualifications.

Well, as a kid I did my schooling from Manav Sthali school in Delhi. I have done my graduation in BBA and post that I started working in a Bank.

When did you decide that you would take up acting as a career?

During my school and college days, I used to participate in a lot of co-curricular activities, dramatics being one of them. I always loved the feeling of being on stage and I guess that’s where it all started. Happy I pursued my passion and I am happy in my space.

What did your parents say when you told them about your above decision, given the fact that the field is unreliable and unpredictable?

Yes. I think they knew I always wanted to be a performer. Thankfully they supported my decision and I think I have not disappointed them.

Which was your first TV serial and how did you get it?

Actually, the brand Guess had a contest running called the model hunt. I won that contest and became the face of the brand. Post that, I gained confidence and came to Mumbai and gave auditions and I was lucky enough that in no time I bagged my first TV serial Love Ne Mila Di Jodi on Star One.

Which was your debut movie and how did you get it?

Missing on a Weekend. Well I was shooting for my daily soap, when I got a call for this movie. I was not too sure of how it all would be. But when I read the script and my character sketch, I was more than happy to take this challenge on. I have never played a police officer and it was a wonderful experience.

What are your current projects?

I am currently shooting for Balika Vadhu. Just finished shooting for an advertisement for Bajaj Avengers. I have also been meeting many filmmakers so let’s see.

What do you see 10 years hence?

Hmmm, too long a period that is. But, well, I am certain I will be a performer- whether it is TV or Ads or films or theatre. I will be around, because this is my calling.

What do you do when not in front of the camera?

I am quite a fitness freak. I love working out and trying out different drills and routines. I also like dancing, though I am more of a grooving type more than a professional dancer.
