We at A Journalist Reveals are Hindus. But, we believe in the other religions as well. Like India, we do not discriminate between human beings in terms of caste, creed and religion. Currently, the month of Ramzan is going on and we decided to ask a friend Kahkasan Ara to tell us something about their sacred month. This is what she had to say:
Ramzan is a holy month for the Muslim community. During this month, Muslims keep fast or Roza from dawn to dusk for the entire month. It starts with Saheri – a short snack or meal which is taken before the dawn and ends with Iftar – the main meal taken after dusk or after the Magrib Azan. Muslims keep fast or Roza to feel and endure the pang of hunger and thirst to prove themselves in front of Allah that they can perform their daily duties and prayers properly without any fault or delay. The month of Ramzan ends with the celebration of Eid.
