Food Recipes for Kids with Tantrums (Part IV)

Continuing with the recipes for kids with tantrums, we are posting 2 of them today. Kejal Sheth, Nutritionist, Weight Management Expert and Founder of Nutrivity.in has shared them with us.

Rajma paneer sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 2 brown bread slice
  • I cup soaked rajma
  • 2 tbsp grated paneer
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onions
  • 2 tbsp capsicum
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat the pan and sauté onion, tomatoes and capsicum for 5 minutes.
  2. Add boiled rajma and paneer and cook for one minute, add coriander powder and salt to taste.
  3. Butter the bread, add lettuce leaves and add the filling.
  4. Make it a sandwich and cut it into 4 parts.
  5. Serve it.

Mini jowar vegetable uttapam

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup jowar
  • ½ cup urad dal
  • ¼ green chili-ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp tomato
  • 2 tbsp capsicum
  • 2 tbsp onion
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste.
  • 1 tbsp oil for greasing and cooking

Method:

  1. Wash and soak urad dal and jowar overnight.
  2. Drain the water well and mix it in a mixer with ½ cup water.
  3. Transfer it in a bowl and add green chili-ginger paste.
  4. Chop the vegetables.
  5. Heat the pan, pour a small amount of the batter and make uttapam.
  6. Add chopped vegetables on it and add some oil.
  7. Toast it both the sides.
  8. Add coriander leaves on the top.
  9. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
