The Spider’s Web (Part VIII)

“But, wasn’t the car owned by the Singhs” Radha still had doubts.

“No. The limozine was hired for a Mr. Khurana by a woman over the phone. The rental agency had been requested the driver to meet Mr. Khurana at an isolated spot. The police found the driver’s dead body some distance away the next day.”

“That means, the murderer is someone, who knows a lot about high living,” Radha inferred.

“Why are you still doubtful about the murderer?”

“Cool it, big brother. Could you find out anything about Rita’s sister?”

“Not much. When Roma got married to Fateh Singh, the Singhs lived in Kolkata. She was involved in 3 freak accidents that appear like the ones that happened to the Singhs before she finally died. Don’t you find a pattern?”

“You mean History repeating itself?” Kartik nodded and she continued. “I don’t know what to believe. There are no witnesses to any of the recent incidents.”

“Then, we will have to get a confessional statement out of her.”

“How do we do that? They are leaving today, within a couple of hours.”

“Then, a direct attack is in order.”

“You don’t sound like her lawyer,” Valli, who was silent all this while, spoke-up.

“I have to be careful. I need to know everything. They are not being helpful. When a case is established against her, I have to save her neck.”

To be continued…
