This is another of my daughter’s poems, which she wrote as a child.
The Rainy Day
By Gayatri T Rao
Once in a while, I get this chance;
To step into the rain and happily dance.
Raindrops fall, quick and fast.
Will this situation ever last?
The sultry summer has given way,
To such a season and beautiful day.
The roads have developed puddles.
And potholes have increased the muddles.
With the culmination of a good shower,
In the drain overfilled with mud and water;
I want to run a paper boat,
Very much like a 5-year old.
Sunshine and rainwater, when go together,
A rainbow, with VIBGYOR, will appear.
Will I be able to check its end;
Which has, I’m told, real treasure?
