The case in question of the birth of Mahishasura might be just a myth. But, I read in a book that there are dens in some countries where animals and little children are held as sex-slaves. Shocked! Don’t be. Mom has quite a few other things to share with you. Here is the Reply to Blaming the Victim (Part II – Save the Girl).
Reply to Blaming the Victim (Part II)
By Vidhyalakshmi Rao
The case of Mahishasura may not be so serious since his father kept the buffalo with him and they were in a live in relationship. It was ok then and it is ok in India, now. But, things could get quite serious when a man raped a pig!
About 51 years ago, a 2-time widower did not get another wife because people thought his horoscope was at fault for the death of his first 2 wives. Soon, he was branded a mentally disturbed person. This man raped a pig. Can a mad man rape an animal by tying up its mouth and hind legs? This man did.
Another 2-time widower was deranged due to his sexual urge. But, he took to yoga and became a pure ascetic after donating all his property to charity. He became spiritually inclined and gave up the material world.
Save the Girl
Girls from 5 months to 5 years have become victims of rape regularly. Some incidents come to the public light. Others are hushed up or are not revealed at all. The children often disappear from the face of the earth! Parents keep lamenting. Police are often unable to do much in these cases. Desperate to trace their children, the parents meet fortune tellers. These fortune tellers say that their children have been raped and killed and that their bodies, left in the forests, to be eaten up by wild animals. We don’t know how true this could be. The parents also do not believe this and wait for the children to return.
This is not just true for girls. Boys are also at risk. We have heard several incidents with little boys, too. Parents should make sure that they give birth to children when they can give their entire attention to the little beings, till the children have the strength and the smartness to take care of themselves. It is the duty of the parents to tell their children about the dangers lurking everywhere. There is more to come. Stay tuned…
