Lord Srinivasa was happy with the turn of events. But the next moment, He looked worried. He said, “In a wedding, friends and relatives should be present. Otherwise, the event is not significant. The King has several relatives. I have none.”

Sukracharya reminded the Lord that the entire cosmos was His family. Right then, the Lord invoked Garuda and Anantashesha, who appeared before Him.

The Lord sent wedding invites to Brahmaloka through Garuda and Shesha, so that all the devas were invited. He also sent the written information to the King via Sukracharya that He would be accepting Padmavati’s hand in marriage on Vaishakha Shuddha Dashami, which fell on a Friday.

Brahma, Vayu, Rudra and others reached Sheshachala for the wedding. The description of the amazing wedding of the Lord makes everyone happy. The Lord revealed that though everyone had come for the wedding, Goddess Lakshmi, who would live in His heart, had not come for the wedding. That left the wedding incomplete. Thus, the Lord sent Surya to Karaveerapura to invite Goddess Lakshmi. Mahalakshmi rapidly reached Her Husband’s wedding venue, happily because Padmavati was a form of Mahalakshmi. Lord Srinivasa had requested Vishwakarma to construct living quarters for all the invitees on the mountain itself.
