As anticipation builds for their upcoming concept album Rehguzar…, New Delhi-based, genre-defying rock act Antariksh unveils Dil ki aawaaz…, another heartfelt Pop/Rock masterpiece featuring legendary Indian folk-rock icon Rahul Ram of Indian Ocean and acclaimed young sarod virtuoso Rohan Prasanna. Rich in atmosphere and introspection, the song explores a universal truth: sometimes the strength to keep moving forward comes not from within, but from the words of someone who’s already walked the road and is much ahead in the curve. Dil ki aawaaz… is a heartfelt duet about finding wisdom through a conversation in the midst of self-doubt.

Positioned in the second half of Rehguzar…, Dil ki aawaaz… arrives after the idealism of the protagonist has been tempered by failure, self-doubt and disappointment. Rather than offering easy answers, the song unfolds as an intimate conversation between two friends. One voice wrestles with uncertainty, questioning whether the struggle is worth it, while the other responds with quiet wisdom earned through lived experience. As the dialogue progresses, doubt gradually gives way to clarity, and by the final chorus, the two voices come together as one, symbolising the moment borrowed belief transforms into self-belief.

Speaking about the track, Varun Rajput, frontman and producer of Antariksh, shares: “We’ve all reached points where we’ve hit rock bottom and wondered if we’re on the right path. Dil ki aawaaz… is about finding a mentor and seeking guidance from someone who doesn’t pretend the journey is easy but reminds you why you started in the first place. Having Rahul Ram embody that voice of experience felt incredibly special and just perfect given his incredible career span and journey as a musician for almost 40 years, while Rohan Prasanna’s sarod lines brought a depth and sincerity that perfectly complemented the song. It’s a joy collaborating with artists I deeply admire made feel super grateful that I have had the honor of working with so many legends in this album who’ve helped me bring my vision to life.”

Musically, Dil ki aawaaz… is one of the album’s most dynamic compositions. Built around an expansive ambient soundscape, the song constantly shifts between contrasting grooves, mirroring the changing emotional states of the conversation unfolding within its lyrics.
