Mom liked a few things she read about. She told about them to me. I decided to share them with you all.
- What does rainy and winter seasons remind you of? Someone asked. The reply was potholes on the road and music of mosquitoes in the ear.
- During a prayer meeting, the orator said “Father and mother are the visible Gods. If they are worshiped every day, we can reap benefits.”
One girl said, “My parents are bad and I live with her grandparents. How will I worship them?”
She got the reply, “Thank them that they had given birth to you without any deformity. Pray that they won’t be your parents for any other birth of yours.”
Another girl asked, “My parents are very good. How do I pray?”
She got a reply, “Make them stand in front of you and circumambulate them 3 times. Pray to God that your parents should live with you for many years and they should be with you as your parents for every birth.”
- A girl asked someone, “I had so many flowers for pooja, before marriage. Now, after coming to live with my husband, I did not find even one flower, here. What should I do? Should I leave my husband or stop performing pooja?”
She got the reply, “What is the use of offering flowers without devotion? You place your devotion in the flowers. Offer one clove with your devotion. The same benefit can be obtained from cloves.”
There is so much knowledge to gain in the world, which increases as we gain it. I wonder, how people spend their time in lying, gossiping, committing crime on others, back-biting, etc. and waste their life like this?
