Pandemic, lockdown, curfew are depressing situations at least when they prolong for several days, weeks or months. Eminent Psychiatrist Dr. Devendra Save tells us how to deal with the situation in this post – Be Kind to Your Mind.
Be Kind to Your Mind
Dr. Devendra Save Says, “Amidst the pandemic and the ongoing lockdown, it is common for people to experience symptoms of low mood and anxiety due to heightened uncertainty and stress. One important and useful tip to sail through this difficult time is to be kind to our minds. Our mind will go through numerous unpleasant thoughts of the future and one way to deal and cope with those thoughts is to recognize them and gently bring back our attention to the present moment. Acknowledge that the thoughts are not a reality yet and are just assumptions of the future. Remind yourself to be kind to your mind in every moment where you feel overwhelmed thinking about the future.”
