Living Tips

1. Some people living in flats find air-conditioner unsuitable for them. Such people may want to use table and pedestal fans instead of ceiling fans, because the former circulate fresh air.
2. During festivals several diyas are lighted in Hindu homes. Many people light diyas for morning and evening poojas. If the cotton battis are soaked in oil for ½ an hour before lighting, the diyas remain lighted for a longer time and they look good, too.
3. While buying plastic products, people are advised to look at the bottom of the product. In some products, numbers are written with a triangle – where 1 means it has to be disposed off immediately after one use and 7 denotes durability.
