Pooja Misra’s Side of Her Controversy with Sunny Leone

Pooja Misra is a known figure in the VJing field and modeling circles. But recently she has been creating ripples for her tiff with the one and only Sunny Leone. A Journalist Reveals wanted to find out more about the Pooja’s side of the controversy, besides other things, and set about interviewing her. Following was the result:
Where were you born? Tell us something about your childhood.
I was born in India as my father is a very senior official with the government. But I did my junior education overseas, in Manchester. Then I went on to do my middle school in Cathedral and John Canon High School with the likes of Shobha De and Parmeshwar Godrej’s children. I was the sports captain of Wilson House and have bagged an award from the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
What made you take up modeling and acting? Were they in the agenda during childhood?
Not at all! But as I was discovered and directed into this field by veterans like Shiamak Davar and Boman Irani, I realized they might have seen something in me and with the quantity of work that was coming my way I guess I made the right choice.
What did your parents react to your career choice?
They kept telling me that this profession was not utilizing my high IQ and that I should take up something more intellectual like law, become a doctor or something like that.
How did you get the item number of Hum Baaja Baja Denge?
Well Anup Jalota put me onto Chandra Barot who had directed Don and he felt I would do the film justice, so I agreed and went on to do the song Tilismi….
Tell us more about your controversy with Sunny Leone.
Well! All I can say is that I have kept a stoic silence so far but her pattern of nuisance was incessant and I realized the only way to break it was to take a stern step and drive home the point enough is enough. The rest can be gathered by the actual case copy furnaces before the media.
What are your current projects?
I am producing a film and I am in the process of putting 4 TV shows made by my production company. Pooja Misra Productions on air – Love Sutra, Deconstructing International Cuisine with simple Indian ingredients, Abhi To Party Shuru Hui Hai and of course the most close to my heart one Spare Me the Crab Mentality.
Would you like to talk about any other project/s?
I am getting a tremendous amount of offers from regional as well as mainstream cinema for main lead roles and I couldn’t be more grateful and happier.
What do you do when not in front of the camera or VJing?
During spare time, I like to write blogs especially on Big Boss.
