The Hospital That Refused to Treat- Part 5
Chapter 5: The Nurse
The waiting room remained unusually quiet after the raised voice from the emergency ward.
Even the television seemed less distracting now.
Everyone was listening.

Waiting.
Shalini’s eyes followed the young nurse as she hurried down the corridor.
There had been something unsettling about her expression.

The same nurse had returned.

As she passed through the waiting room, her eyes briefly met Shalini’s.
For a fraction of a second, the nurse looked as though she wanted to say something.
Anything.
Instead, she lowered her gaze and continued walking.
A man in a dark suit appeared from nowhere and followed her down the corridor.
The nurse’s shoulders visibly tensed.
Shalini watched until they disappeared from sight.
Beside her, Prakash folded his newspaper.
“Something’s happening in this hospital,” he said quietly.
Shalini didn’t answer.
Because she was beginning to believe he was right.
