The Passing of a Legend (Part V)

“What can be the right course of action now?” Asha asked.

“Though things are suspicious here, we are looking for evidence in the Prakriti case. And that will be hindered if we go looking for the hidden person,” Katherine observed.

“On the contrary, I would rather we look for the hidden person. Who knows, we might find something significant,” Kartik suggested. “Come on. There’s no time to lose. We have to go back before they shift the hidden person to a different place.”

They all freshened up and made another trip to the third floor. This time there was a room-boy, sitting on a chair, near the staircase, overlooking the lift, as well. Kartik disabled him and the fivesome went further. There was no one else on the lookout on the floor. Keshav had to open each door to make sure they did not miss anything. Further down the corridor, as he tried to turn the lock with the Swiss knife, they heard a muffled sound from inside the room. Keshav gestured the others for silence and opened the door. A stench of urine mixed with fecal matter greeted them.

When their eyes got used to the darkness, the fivesome saw a figure uncomfortably tied to a chair inside the room!

The girls ran toward the frightened woman and at a closer look, the rescuers were shocked. The woman was Bollywood actor Prakriti!
