A Humanitarian Rickshaw Driver (Part II)

But, one girl did not want to have a brother-sister relationship with the rickshaw driver. She was the richest girl in the group. She said, “Can’t we just be friends? Should we only have a brother-sister relationship?”
All the girls insisted that he take them to his home and then he drop them at their homes. They wanted to have tea at his house. He hesitated. The girls said, “If there is any financial problem, you can buy the milk, sugar and tea with the payment that we have made.”
He was, finally, convinced. They went to his home. It was a hut at the corner of a small field. The other girls hesitated to enter. The rich girl entered his home, first. The rich girl also insisted that she made the tea. The other girls began to laugh at this declaration and the rickshaw driver was, again, hesitant. The rich girl took the intiative with an attitude. Then, he gave in. They all enjoyed the tea she made.

The other girls said, “We were born with brothers. But, none of them helped us when we needed them. But, you helped us. We are really grateful to you.”
The girls left the place happily.
The rich girl returned with her parents after a few days, with a proposal for marriage. The rickshaw driver’s father was not mentally responsive to them. But, the rickshaw driver said that the marriage between them would not work. However, somehow, the girl managed to convince him.
After their marriage, the girl helped her husband to study Masters in Agriculture. With the knowledge he gained, his field flourished and he bought more land. The girl developed their home and helped his brothers in education. She also got her father-in-law treated out of his mentally disoriented state. Soon, there was a bungalow in the place of the hut and she had opened a boutique as well there. Even after becoming rich, the former rickshaw driver remained the same and continued to help girls reach their destination safely. The rich girl took the initiative to build a safe guest house in town especially for girls. Goodness pays.
