Eid-e-Milad is the birthday of Prophet Mohammad. Besides Eid-e-Milad, Hindus are celebrating Dev Diwali or Tulasi Vivaha for the last few days. Housing and commercial complexes are being illuminated everywhere. The illuminations and celebrations are worthy of a dekho. It truly shows India’s secularity, I feel so proud of. I remember the verses Mazhab nahin sikhata aapas mein bair rakhna… Hoping that certain faculties get the right message.
We happened to stumble upon the celebrations of this Eid, today, at Golden Palace CHS, Mira Road. We approached them to cover the event. The group of Muslims was very happy to receive us. We had covered their Moharram event before. Mohammad Adil, so kindly, gave us some sound as well as visual bytes for us to share with our readers.
Someone among them was very excited to speak to Mom and asked her if she was from Delhi, listening to her Hindi accent. Her Hindi is so good. The group offered us vermicelli pudding. Mom, Dad and I partook a helping each and were happy to mingle with them. Mom and I are staunch believers of Allah, as well. We thought that Allah has blessed us, by sharing Prasad with us.
