1. Leaves of carrot, radish and onion contain Vitamins A and C. Instead of wasting them, if used in any vegetarian or non-vegetarian preparation, we get the nutrients in our food.
2. For those in the weight-loss mode, it might be difficult to have bland salads every time. Since salads are rich in essential nutrients, they are needed by our bodies. If chat masala is sprinkled on salad, raita (a curd preparation) and fruits like pineapple, guava, sweet lime and orange, they become tasty and palatable.
3. While bathing if grated coconut is used like we do soap, the skin glows and becomes soft. This is also a very good remedy against summer irritants like prickly heat, itchy skin and boils.
