After our editor, Yashaswini, decided to send us on an all expenses paid official trip to the south, this Trip to Thanthonri (Part III) happened. It was decided on the spur of the moment.

Trip to Thanthonri (Part III)

We invited Meera, her husband, Mohan and son, Venkatesh, for the Pooja we had planned during this trip. They were not sure if they could make it.

We had already booked the stay at Valluvar Hotel at Karur, nearest vegetarian hotel to Thanthonri. This booking was done on MakeMyTrip immediately after booking the flight tickets. That’s why we got the bookings for the days we wanted to stay there. We didn’t get booking at Hotel Hemala for those particular days.

We checked-in and freshened up. I took idli and my daughters ordered lunch. An interesting thing about lunch is that it is called meals  in the south and this meals is available only in the afternoon. The meals had so many dishes in the menu that my daughters had to keep some of it for dinner. BTW, they don’t have dinner there, only tiffin.

We rested for a bit and went to Thanthonri in the evening. That day, we performed archana for the main deity and Lord Hanuman.
