During times like Holi, 30-40 relatives come home and some housewives find it difficult to cook for so many people after playing with colors.
These housewives can make rice and dal rapidly. They can also make the sabzi for the chappatis. Papad, pickle and salad can also be made in a jiffy. All these can be prepared if they have a 4 burner stove.
Some 5-star hotels serve neer dosa and wheat dosa instead of chappatis.
