Pooja replied to PSI Jadhav, “What makes you think that I would practically implement the threat? I wanted to stress on the fact that we would not compromise with her. Her teenage son said that he will kill us with a silenced gun. He also challenged that the police would not be able to find out who killed us. That is why, I said that. I am an educated person, a journalist and a law-abiding citizen of India. Do you think I would kill her? Did you look for her husband? He is nowhere here.”

“You have the audacity to teach me how to investigate the case? I have already inquired about that. Pramesh has gone to Surat to get orders for their garments business. He is expected back in 5 days. We have sent a message to him. Once he comes back, you will be exposed completely. You have been looking for a chance and killed her once he and the children left home.”

“I am not teaching you. That is not my job. I am only suggesting that you might be overlooking something. You can question him all you want. I will see how he points me out. According to me, the person, who was the most bothered by her and knew the truth, must have killed her. As far as we are concerned, God has punished her.”

Jadhav realized that he could not question her anymore and warned Pooja not to go out of town without intimating him.

But, he returned the next day to arrest her!
